There are many classes and group activities available through the senior centers in Douglas County. And Young at Heart sponsors several of them. If you’re looking for something to do, here’s a few things to consider:

Bridge: Join us for a game of Bridge, Mondays from 12pm-5pm in the North Activity Room – Douglas County and Senior Community Center.

Jewelry Making Class: Loveda helps guide students in making your own jewelry. All supplies are provided and this is a free class for seniors. Every Wednesday the Ceramics room 9am-Noon – Douglas County and Senior Community Center. Sign up a the front desk.

Movers & Shakers: This Parkinson’s support group meets the 3rd Tuesday at 1pm in the CVMC Room – Douglas County and Senior Community Center. Come listen and share experiences and learn how to live with this chronic condition.

Ceramics: Join Alice on Tuesdays and Fridays 8am-3pm. Paint your own ceramics and enjoy socializing. Ceramic pieces are available for purchase and paint supplies are provided. Class is in the Ceramics room – Douglas County Community and Senior Center

Chinese Mah Jongg: Join us on Wednesdays from 10:45am-2:pm in the small craft room – Douglas County Community and Senior Center.

Social Bingo: At Douglas County Community and Senior Center Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays 1pm-2pm. Also available at the Topaz Ranch Estates Community Center and for our North County Seniors too – Contact the Senior Center for times at these two locations.
